Zambesi once again created one of the standout moments of New Zealand Fashion Week Kahuria with its latest show, Song to the Siren.

Under the creative direction of Marissa Findlay, the collection brought Zambesi’s signature dark romanticism to the waterfront at Ōkahu Bay. Staged across the wharf and surrounding veranda, the setting became an integral part of the show, with the harbour providing a dramatic backdrop.

Models made their way towards the end of the wharf wrapped in silver emergency blankets, creating an unexpected and striking opening before the collection was revealed.

The show began with Muru Maipi sounding Karanga-a-Hape, setting the tone for what followed. The long wharf became a spectacular runway, framed by Rangitoto on one side and Auckland’s skyline, Harbour Bridge and Sky Tower on the other.
